CHARLOTTE, N.C. – July 2, 2009 – In the last 90 days, consumers from 19 states have filed 25 complaints with the Better Business Bureau against a Rutherford County nursery, Happy Holler Gardens (BBB Grade F).

Happy Holler Gardens had been selling its products, flowers, bulbs and perennials, via the Internet through an eBay store and their own website, but those sites have recently been taken down.

Complainants allege that they ordered and pre-paid for flowers, bulbs and perennials via the Internet and PayPal, but did not receive the products they ordered. Complainants have also not been able to get refunds of the monies paid.

Of the 25 complaints, 17 went unanswered by the company in June, earning Happy Holler Gardens the #1 spot on the BBB’s monthly list of businesses with the most unanswered complaints.

“It is critical for a small business to effectively answer and resolve consumer complaints, especially when that business is selling its products via the Internet,” said BBB President Tom Bartholomy, “because unhappy customers can adversely impact a business’s reputation -worldwide - with a few keystrokes on the Internet in a matter of minutes.”

Happy Holler Gardens is owned by Curtis Raduege and is located at 186 Brewer Holler Drive, Rutherfordton, N.C. 28139.
