Charities on this list have not responded to the Better Business Bureau's repeated requests for information so that we can evaluate their organization with the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability.

While participation in the BBB's charity review program is voluntary, the Better Business Bureau believes that failure to respond or participate may demonstrate a lack of commitment to transparency.

Without the requested information, the BBB cannot determine if these charities adhere to the Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability.

A charity's willingness to disclose information beyond that which is typically included in its financial statements and government filings is, in the BBB's view, an expression of openness that strengthens public's trust in the charitable sector.

The majority of local charities contacted by the BBB provide information and participate in the BBB's charity review program.
